p.m. West County Community Emergency Response Team Training West County CERT is a joint effort between the cities of Cypress, La Palma, Los Alamitos, and Seal Beach to offer a regional CERT program to its citizens. West County CERT will be offering its first CERT course beginning Thursday June 15, 2006. The CERT program is an eight week, 24 hour, course covering a variety of subjects related to disaster preparation and mitigation. This particular course offering will be held on eight consecutive Thursdays (June 15 to August 3) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at various locations in each participating city. Instructors will include members of each city police department and the Orange County Fire Authority. Any citizen with a stake in the community is welcome to attend, and the course is expected to fill quickly. If you are interested contact either Sgt. B.
