| February 6, 2006 The Los Alamitos Police Department has appointed Sergeant Bruce McAlpine as the new Administrative Sergeant. Sergeant McAlpine has been with the Los Alamitos Police Department since June 2003 after serving 14 years with the Huntington Beach Police Department. He will be filling a position that has been vacant for several months, and is looking forward to this challenging yet rewarding position. Sergeant McAlpine currently serves the organization as its Reserve Police Officer Coordinator and Emergency Services Coordinator. He instructs at two Orange County Police Academies and has an extensive background in police training. He is an avid sports fan and outdoor enthusiast. In addition to his new role as Administrative Sergeant, he will be responsible for managing the training needs for the department and be part of the department’s Community Outreach Program (COP Team).
