HOW TO SUBSCRIBE

Subscribing to an e-mail list is easy for both advanced and beginning users.

1. Establish your Internet connection through your ISP (Internet Service Provider such as AOL, Earthlink, NetZero)

2. Open your e-mail client software and open a new message to be sent (such as Microsoft Outlook, proprietary software, or POP 3 mailbox)

3. The "To:" entry is as follows where the listname corresponds with your neighborhood's mailinglist name (found above): listname-request@losalamitospd.org

4. The "Subject:" entry is simply: subscribe

5. Do not write anything else, leaving the body of the message blank. This includes not sending the e-mail with decorative backgrounds, pre-formed "signatures," etc.

6. Hit the "Send" button and you will soon receive an "auto-reply" message stating you have subscribed successfully

HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE

Unsubscribing is simple. Repeat the steps above, however the "Subject:" entry is: unsubscribe

This is an example of a resident who is subscribing to the e-mail list for the College Park North neighborhood.

TECHNICAL ISSUES

If you need assistance in determining which neighborhood is yours, the maps north and south of Katella Avenue will help. Links to these maps are located on the front page of The LAW Center. If you you are still unsure, please e-mail or telephone Sgt. Sean Connolly and he can assist you. All you need to provide is your street address and he can advise you which neighborhood is yours.

If you have difficulty subscribing or unsubscribing or have any other technical issues related to our e-mail information system, Sgt. Connolly will be able to assist with these problems. E-mail addresses can be added and removed manually by the system administrator.
